My mother’s name is Edvin Grecia Cabrera. She’s 43 years old. She has been teaching at SPED Integrated School for Exceptional Children for 19 years now.
I’m writing this page to show everyone how proud I am of my Mamang’s achievements.
For many years of patiently teaching and guiding special children- Mentally Challenged students while raising 5 children at the same time, my Mamang is now reaping the acknowledgement that she deserves.
Every year the National Association of Special Educators (NASE) search for teachers who excel in this field. Last year, Mamang was chosen as the Regional and National Winner in the 2007 Search for the Outstanding Teacher for Children with Mental Retardation.
She was chosen as the winner among so many dedicated teachers throughout the country. We we’re so proud of her.
This May, Mamang was also recognized by our hometown-the Municipality of Oton as it celebrated its 436th anniversary as the first pueblo in Western Visayas for her achievement. She was awarded as an Outstanding Ogtonganon.
Mamang is currently continuing her studies. We, her family will continue to support her for whatever she has planned for the future.
Here are Mamang’s pride:
more posts about my Mamang in the future.. ^_^

Hello,
I first saw your group in LinkedIn, and then followed your link to your blog.
I’m an American living in Angeles City.
I’ve developed on line software for elearning applications.
I was wondering if you’d like to do:
1) Some review and possibly re-writing the description for mabuhaylearning.org
2) Possibly work with you and your mom, to create some content for helping
other teachers learn and understand the special requirements for reaching these children.
3) Expand your HTML skills and learn more about VRInstructor.com, which will actually help the DepEd’s elearning project get further along.
4) I’d like to build an online elearning access for anyone that would like to first take
a course for working in a call center. This could pre-screen applicants with the best getting offers to interview with employers.
5) all around stay in touch… I’d like to help develop eCommerce for the Philippines.
I’ve been involved with eCommerce for over 12 years. SecureCart.com is one of my programs. VRCommerce.com has some others also.
I think your a bright star… I’d like to see if we can help create more stars like you.
I’ll happily join your LinkedIn group.
Mark
