I got this idea of listing the things I want to do before I die after reading Nicholas Spark’s “A Walk To Remember.” Since I have my own blog, I might as well write it here for me to remember all of them and DO them. They’re not actually in chronological order and I will also add more things gradually.
Here they are:
-
Finish college. Get that diploma!!
-
Put up my own business. Be my own boss!
-
Get married. To my bebeh of course.
-
Have at least two kids. A boy and a girl.
-
Own a house with a very wide yard and lots and lots of flowers and plants.
-
Travel the world. I particularly want to go to Europe. Then Africa, Hawaii, countries of Asia.
-
Eventually learn how to play the guitar. I’ve been a beginner for 5 years now.
-
Ride a hot air balloon.
-
Go bungee jumping, paragliding, parachuting…
-
Meet Adam Sandler!
-
Meet Avril Lavigne!
-
Eat chocolate at Switzerland!
-
Compose a song.
-
Go to Laura Ingalls Wilder and Sidney Sheldon’s hometown.
-
Be an exceptional photographer.
-
Grow old and see my grandchildren.
-
Sponsor my parents’ trip around the world.
-
Explore the Philippines.
-
Go to Martha’s Vineyard.
-
Own a house at the beach.
-
Donate a large sum of money to a charity institution. That’s if I’ll be rich enough.
-
Learn how to swim.
-
Befriend my enemies.
-
Invent something.
-
Complete my compilation of Sidney Sheldon’s books.
and…..
26. Complete my compilation of Paulo Coelho’s books.
27. Go to Kabankalan! My bebeh’s hometown!
28. Speak and write Spanish fluently.
Still more to come… Hope I can do all of this.. Nothing is impossible..

I’ve got the perfect spot for you to eat that chocolate in Switzerland….. http://rvewong.wordpress.com/2008/06/06/picnic-in-switzerland/
Here’s my list of things to do before I die:
1. Travel to Europe, New York, Hawaii, Florida, Washington, Arizona, and Australia.
2. Finish elementary (sixth grade isn’t in middle school where I live) , middle, high school, college, and then the University of Undecided. (exactly that, I haven’t decided)
3. Go to the president’s inauguration when I’m sixteen.
4. Fall in love, get married to my soulmate and have 2 kids, a boy and a girl (I’m counting on my decision that this won’t happen for a LONG time, though)
5. Go to a few of Taylor Swift’s concerts (I LOVE her music!!!)
6. Get a boyfriend before I’m thirteen(= (i doubt that this one will come true, but, a girl can hope, right?)
7. Get my dream job: becoming a famous author!
8. Get enough courage to skip seventh grade. The only thing that’s holding me back is my friends. I’m afraid of what it will do to them. But I need to do what’s best for ME, and they won’t be with me forever.
9. Get into theatre next year in middle school. They didn’t have it this year,
10. Graduate from high school early. But I have to get past elementary and middle before I will even ENTER high school.
11. Make most of my dreams come true.
Okay, so I checked the time zones. It’s Monday, November 17, 9:31 A.M. there in the Phillipines, and It’s Sunday, November 16, 7:31 P.M. here in the United States. One word: Cool!!!
Hey Jessica!
This is great, I actually influenced you to make your own “things to do before you die.”
I hope everyone who visits my blog would do the same too.
You keep writing Jess and I’ll keep reading.
Anyway, I love your name. Its one of my favorite names actually. Are you familiar with Sweet Valley High? The twins – Elizabeth and Jessica?
youve got so many things to do..thats cool..
im sure you can make those list,, and good luck :- )
-ar the man
Yeah, I’ve heard of them! I read one of the books in third grade when I found it on the shelf, but then I started reading the Harry Potter series… I get preoccupied by books. Jessica isn’t really a common name anymore, but I don’t mind. I like it a lot because there isn’t anyone else named Jessica in my grade, so there’s no confusion when someone calls my name. My friends named Madison on the other hand……. well, a lot of the Madisons at my school wish that they had been named something else since there are about 7 Madisons in our grade alone. It’s kind of funny watching them. Anyway, I’ve been lacking sleep lately. We had to drive back from Arkansas for Thanksgiving, so early Sunday morning (I was reading late again) I only got 4 1/2 hours sleep. Sunday night I got 5 hours, Monday I got 5 1/2, Tuesday I got 6, Wednesday I got 5 1/2, and who knows how much I’ll get tonight. I have to get up at 6 am, so If I go to bed now, I can get about 7 1/2 hours(I have to read some of a book for my literature circle group in school), which will be more than I’ve had in one night’s sleep in a loooonnnnnnnngggggg time. I stay up late reading a lot. Well, I’m dead beat, so I’m going to go read my 8 pages, the hit the sack for the night. Good night, Mary Jane!
Hey Jessica!
Thanks for dropping by my blog again. Sorry I wasn’t able to reply to your email though. Been busy these past few weeks. Maybe we could talk some time? I’ll email you my phone number. Don’t worry I have a Texas area code. If you want I will be the one to call you. So we could chat about your Madison friends and the “guy” problem.
Talk to you later!
Well, I’d like to talk on the phone, but my mom isn’t really keen on the idea. She says blogging an email is enough. Grrrr…..
But mostly the boy problem is cleared up, sort of. Maddie is at least making an effort to like Maddy, although I’m not sure how long that’s going to keep going. At the moment though, Maddy is going out with Scotty, and Maddie is still sort of, well, moping.
And at recess I have to do this really weird costody thing. I spend one day with Maddie then one with Maddy, the one with Maddie, the one with Maddy, etc., etc. Maddie still won’t hang out with Maddy, so I’m left with having to switch between them every day. I don’t mind too much, though, because this way I get to spend time with all my friends, the populars and the kids who are like me, so I’m pretty content, even if it is weird.
We had book fair at school, which means basically a big sale with books of all different sorts, and some little crafts and things. I had only wanted one thing, but then my mom volunteered to work there for two days and brought her checkbook….. I ended up picking out a lot of reading material, so I pretty much know what most of my Christmas gifts are. Books!!! Hey, at least I’ll be busy over the holidays!
I’m working on the fifteenth page of this novel I’m writing. It may not seem like much, but I’m writing it on paper in cursive, and if you’ve ever seen my cursive, more than likely like my friends, you would swear that it was the tiniest and most delicate/beautiful cursive you’d ever seen. I don’t think so, I mean, I know that it’s abnormally small, but they all say it’s so beautiful and perfect. So, when I actually finish the novel, and I type it up, it’ll probably end up being 2 to 2 1/2 times longer in pages than what I wrote in my notebook.
I have five classes, and my lowest grade in all of them is a 95!!!!!! That’s a new record for me!!!! Yeyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me so happy!!!
Anyway, so that’s pretty much it that’s been going on in my life for the past few weeks. TTYL!!!
Hi Jessie,
Its okay, as long as you could say what you want here in my blog or on email. Good to hear the boy problem has been cleared up. Just let Maddie mope for a bit and she’ll be fine when the next cute guy comes along. You made m laugh about that custody thing! Hahaha! At least you get to spend time with both of them. Its great that you let them feel that you’re not biased.
I envy you. You get to have book fairs in your school. I wish we have that here too. Like you I’m also happy to get books on holidays or on my birthday or whatever the occasion is, or with no occasion at all.
You’re writing a novel? That’s cool! awesome! Maybe you’ll let me read it when you finish it? And I’m curious how your cursive looks like. I hope I’ll see that.
And your lowest grade is 95? That makes me a little bit scared of you Jessie! That means you’re very smart! And intelligent! I’m so happy for you too. Your Mom must be so proud of you.
Thank you so much for updating me on what’s happening on your life Jess. I really appreciate it. I hope I could leave comments on your blog too. But it seems like you and your friends are the only ones who could comment there though. Hehe.
Hope to hear from you soon Jessica! Take care!
